DAVID WOOD FITE

1944-2021

David Wood Fite, 76, of Houston, passed away peacefully at home on June

21, 2021 after a decade long battle with Kidney Cancer. He was a 1962 graduate of

St. Pius X High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1970 as a Military Sentry Dog (K-9) Security/ Law Enforcement specialist. Following his discharge from the military, David worked in construction operations and management until his retirement in 2010; and also served as a Reserve Deputy with the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office through the mid 1980’s. David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margret; sons James and Phillip; granddaughters McCale Luna (Brad) and

Katrina; 6 brothers and 1 sister and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral service is planned for July

13, 2021 at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church in Katy, Texas followed by internment at the Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the Fite family requests you make donations to your favorite charity.
