Philadelph­ia’s J.T. Realmuto will take over from injured San Francisco catcher Buster Posey as the National League’s starter in the All-Star Game at Denver’s Coors Field.

Milwaukee catcher Omar Narvaez was among replacemen­ts announced Saturday. Kansas City second baseman Whit Merrifield, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson, Washington pitcher Max Scherzer, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Walker Buehler, the Mets’ Taijuan Walker and Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta were added.

Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner, A’s pitcher Chris Bassitt and Rays second baseman Joey Wendle were also added.

NEW YORK METS

Righthande­r Carlos Carrasco (strained right hamstring) threw three innings and about 30 pitches in a simulated game and is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week.
