Barbara Ann Blount Morgan, age 90, of Houston formerly of Jacksonvil­le, Florida died on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

Beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend to so many. She was the daughter of William Clifton and Thelma Sullivan Blount. She was born on November 19, 1930 in Jacksonvil­le, Florida.

Ann, as she preferred to be called, began her career as a stenograph­er and worked for several different companies. Ultimately, she became assistant to a VP at Shell Oil in Houston where she worked for more than 15 years. She met and later married Bryan Morgan in January 1976 in Houston. She was a devoted member of First Presbyteri­an Church where she and Bryan were very active in the Couples class. She made friends with many wonderful people through church and her profession.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Bryan, her parents, her only sibling, a sister, Shirley Blount Suddarth, and her nephew-in-law, Kenneth Corbett. She is survived by her nieces, Pamela Suddarth Garibay (Charles), Suzanne Suddarth Corbett, and her nephews, Steven A. Suddarth (Martha), Peter W. Suddarth (Minnette), John A. Suddarth (Donna), all of their (15) children and (10) grandchild­ren, and her brother-in-law, Dr. J. A. Suddarth. They will always remember their Aunt Ann for her love, generosity and counsel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at First Presbyteri­an Church, 5300 Main Street, Houston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made to the Nehemiah Neighborho­od Center, 5015 Fannin, Houston, Texas, 77004 or a charity of your choice.
