Austin, TX – It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice Miller, 81, announce her passing on July 9th, 2021. Bea passed peacefully after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, surrounded by family, at her daughter’s residence in Austin, TX. Bea was born April 13th, 1940, in Houston, TX, the daughter of Fred and Lillie Mae Albertson.

Bea graduated from Jefferson Davis High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, Bea married John Doyle Miller and they settled in South Houston where they raised three children, a girl and two boys. John and Bea celebrated 35 years of marriage together before John’s untimely death from a heart attack in July of 1993. Bea never remarried. Bea was a talented artist who loved writing poetry, designing clothes, designing jewelry, and creating large vivid Oil Paintings on canvass. For many years Bea owned and operated “Danielle”, a Ladies Boutique, located in Clear Lake, TX.

In addition to her Parents, Bea was predecease­d by her brother Fred Marion “Sonny Man” Albertson of Houston and brother Robert Albertson of Grand Junction, Colorado. Survivors include daughter Cynthia Louise Griffith and husband Harold Denver Griffith Jr. of Austin, TX. Son Matthew Guy “Bo” Miller of Houston. Son Clayton Doyle Miller and wife Carolyn

Miller of Nassau Bay, TX. Granddaugh­ter Amanda Chapa and husband Frank Chapa of Houston, TX. Amanda’s mother and close family friend Vicki Cicack and husband Walter Cicack of Houston, TX. Grandson Joshua Miller of Los Angeles and granddaugh­ter Hannah Miller of Los Angeles. Grandson Daniel Stapp and wife Rachel Stapp of Dickenson, TX. Granddaugh­ter Stephanie Korth and husband Travis Korth of Dallas, TX. Granddaugh­ter Melissa Bramlet and husband Chris Bramlet of Deer Park, TX in addition to many nieces, nephews, great grandchild­ren, and dear friends. We also wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredibly special people of Compassus Home Hospice Care.
