Miss Elizabeth Loch Garison Weds Mr. Michael Thomas Connell

Miss Elizabeth Loch Garison and Mr. Michael Thomas Connell were united in marriage on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at half past seven o’clock in the evening at St. Michael Catholic Church, Houston, Texas.

The celebratio­n and blessing of the double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Clark Sample. Music for the ceremony was provided by Divisi Strings and Cantor Valerie Serice. Scripture readings were given by Mr. Edward Luke Cowsar and Mr. Patrick Wade Upton, both cousins of the bride.

Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Junior League of Houston with entertainm­ent provided by the band, Password. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at River Oaks Country Club. The bridal luncheon was held at Ouisie’s Table and hosted by Mrs. Terry Graham Upton, and Mrs. Robin Graham Cowsar, aunts of the bride and Mrs. Mary Louise Burchard Berry, the bride’s cousin.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Patrick Garison of Houston, Texas. Bess is the granddaugh­ter of the late Mr. Frederick Thomson Graham and the late Mrs. Lucille Townley Graham both of Houston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lee Garison of San Antonio, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Patrick Connell of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Emmett Connell, Jr. and the late Mr. Samuel Webster Wilburn of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and the late Mrs. Nettie Bradley Wilburn, also of Chapel Hill.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a silk white satin, sleeveless ball gown with a V neckline and an asymmetric­al bow train accent. The gown was designed by couture designer, Monique Lhuillier. She carried a bouquet of Lily of the Valley.

Serving as Matron of Honor was Mrs. Mary Louise Burchard Berry, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaid­s were Miss Caroline Elizabeth Connell, sister of the groom, Mrs. Angela Batla Kelley, Mrs. Virginia Vetter Brown, Mrs. Alston Edwards White, Miss Lydia Alicia Garcia, Miss Cameron Suzanne Coffman and Mrs. Mary Kathleen Kelleher Buys.

Miss Bonnie Elizabeth Berry and Miss Blair Townley Upton, cousins of the bride, served as flower girls.

Serving as Best Man was Mr. William Laughlin Connell, brother of the groom. Serving as groomsmen were Mr. Stephen Lawton Anderson, Mr. Tyler John Webre, Mr. Christophe­r Stanton Condara, Mr. Judson Flanagan Webre, Mr. Ryan Michael Casey, Mr. Kirk Thomas David, and Mr. William Joseph Labanowski. Serving as ushers were Mr. David Graham Upton, Mr. William Graves Cowsar, Mr. Samuel George Cowsar, cousins of the bride; Mr. Michael John Griffin, and Mr. William Strake Parsley.

Bess is a 2010 graduate of St. Agnes Academy in Houston and a 2014 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art Studies. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Bess is the Photograph­y teacher at The Kinkaid School.

Michael is a 2011 graduate of Strake Jesuit College Preparator­y in Houston. He is a 2015 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicat­ion Studies and was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. In 2016, Michael earned a Master degree in Accounting, also from The University of Texas at Austin. Michael is employed by Quanta Services, Incorporat­ed.

Following a honeymoon to Tulum, Mexico, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
