1927-2021

Cora Sue Warren went home to be with her Lord on August 2, 2021. This joyful, beautiful lady, who made everyone feel special, is now spreading her joy in Heaven.

Cora Sue was born on February 2, 1927, in Crockett, Texas, to Smith and Hattie Wootters. She graduated as Valedictor­ian from Crockett High School in 1943 and received her degree from Southern Methodist University in 1947. She married Joseph Fielding Warren on September 7, 1948, and they celebrated 72 years of marriage. The couple moved from Houston, Texas, to Tomball, Texas, in 1955 and to The Village of Gleannloch Farms retirement community in 2008.

Cora Sue loved her Heavenly Father and was deeply devoted to her family and church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for over 50 years. She greatly valued her friends and community and found it rewarding to serve as President over the years of Tomball Study Club, Tomball United Methodist Women, Tomball PTA and Cypress Creek Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club. She served as an officer in the Tomball Garden Club and in the Daughters of the American Revolution-San Jacinto Chapter, and as a Discussion Leader in the Houston Northwest Bible Study Fellowship. After moving to The Village of Gleannloch Farms, Cora Sue led the Prayer Team and founded and directed the VGF Christmas Choir for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Joe Warren, son Joe Warren and wife Sue, son Jim Warren, daughter Suzanne Warren and son John Warren and wife

Sally. She is also survived by granddaugh­ter Stephanie Wilkinson and husband John and their children Ben and Joseph and granddaugh­ter Dianne English and husband Dan and their children Dan and Sarah.

The family would like to thank Dr. Woondong Jeong and his staff at Millennium Physicians for their care of Cora Sue. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers of Innovative Home Service for their kind and compassion­ate care of Cora Sue. You were an incredible blessing in her life, as well as her family’s these past 2 years. We also want to thank Heart to Heart hospice for their caring support of Cora Sue during her final months.

Visitation will be at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas 77375 on Monday, August 9 from 6-8 p.m. A celebratio­n of

Cora Sue’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Tomball United Methodist Church, 1603 Baker Street, Tomball, Texas 77375 followed by a private interment.
