1 killed, 1 hurt in shooting after disturbance

Authorities were investigating a shooting in northwest Houston on Saturday morning that left one person dead and sent another to the hospital in stable condition.

Police responded to the call about 4:30 a.m. and arrived after the shooter fled the scene, Metro Video reported.

Officials said the shooting followed a disturbance at a Greater Inwood home, though it was unclear what prompted the incident. Houston Police Department homicide investigators did not immediately have a description of a suspect.
