Two sentenced in woman’s 2017 kidnap, rape

Two men have been sentenced to three decades in prison for kidnapping, raping and robbing a woman in March 2017 in Sharpstown.

Martin Cruz, 42, of Houston, was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in prison for aggravated kidnapping, according to the Harris County District Attorney's Office. The second offender, 34-year-old Ricardo Matilde-Silvas, in April pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault in exchange for a 30-year prison sentence.
