Regarding “Black women, across generations, heed Biles' Olympic example,” (Aug. 3): This piece addresses a serious issue regarding pressure in athletics and turns it into a racism/sexism tirade. We do not need to hear about Patrisse Cullors, or be fed tired, cherry-picked statistics regarding fatalities by police, sexual assault (why is Larry Nassar germane?), and wage disparity. Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka were brave to acknowledge their demons. Much of the pressure on them was imposed by the media. Give them some space!
