JAMES MILTON ALEXANDER

1956-2021

James Milton Alexander was born in St Louis, Missouri on July 20, 1956. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 12, 2021. Jim is preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Dr. Milton Judson Alexander. Jim is survived by his mother, Helene Roberts Alexander; his sons, James Zachary Alexander and Benjamin Donald Alexander; his soulmate, Kathryn Anne Tenison; his brother Robert Alexander and Michelle; his sister, Betsy Alexander Best and Thilio; his nieces and nephew Liz, Mimi, Gracie, and Christian.

As a child Jim lived in Georgia and Florida. In 1968 the family moved to Auburn, Alabama. His father was a professor at Auburn University. Once there Jim became a lifelong and very dedicated fan of the Auburn football team. Each game would consist of Auburn shirts, Auburn gnomes, an Auburn bear and pompoms to cheer on his team to victory. His favorite memory from that time was when three generations of Alexanders participated in the papering of the Toomer’s Corner Oaks. Jim was a

Sigma Chi and received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Auburn University. “War Eagle”

Jim then went to Columbia University where he earned his Masters of Business Administration in 1980. His next move was to get to Texas as fast as he could.

Jim spent almost his entire career, 35 years, at a firm that began with the name Underwood Neuhaus and is presently Well Fargo. During his time there he earned his CPA from the American Institute of CPA’s in 1990 as well as his diploma from the Wharton School Securities Industry Institute in 2005. He loved his occupation as a municipal and stock broker in which he worked with up to three generations of a single family.

For fun, Jim was an avid SCUBA diver for 30 years.

His favorite islands were Cozumel and Bonaire. He expanded into underwater photography, which he greatly enjoyed. Jim was equally content to be floating on a raft in his pool with a steak dinner he would grill on-sight. He was a barbeque master which his family and friends REALLY enjoyed.

Cheers to James Milton Alexander with a heart the size of Texas and a hug on demand when anyone needed one. Jim had more love to bestow than most could imagine.

Internment will be at a later date in Auburn, Alabama.
