Bowden’s devotion to family recalled

-

More than 300 former players and coaches were among the crowd of about 2,500 who attended a memorial for Florida State coaching legend Bobby Bowden in Tallahassee.

Bowden, who died last Sunday at 91 of pancreatic cancer, was eulogized mostly for his devotion to faith and his family, including his thousands of players.

“Coach Bowden saw something in me that no one else saw,” said Warrick Dunn, a running back who played at Florida State from 1993 to 1996 and later starred in the NFL.
