The long and winding ‘Road So Far’
Jesse Lott exhibition is a deep meditation on elemental aspects of life across time
Jesse Lott felt a jab in his ribs as he was driving to the Station Museum of Contemporary Arts. When he got out of the car, the artist reached into his jacket and found a wire figure he’d been working with for a while. Even without looking at the human shape, Lott’s fingers move over it, giving him information about whether this will or will not become a sculpture.
“This is a sketch book really,” he says.
