Hands-on Realtor Brann an ‘ultimate professional’

- By Valerie Sweeten FREELANCE WRITER

Douglas Elliman Realtor Agatha Brann, who has been licensed since 1986, is known in the industry as an “ultimate professional.”

Though she’s worked throughout Houston, the largest portion of her business is in the close-in market including Tanglewood, River Oaks, Memorial, West University Place, Piney Point Village, Hunters Creek and other centrally located luxury neighborhoods. The highest concentration is in Tanglewood, where Brann said she has worked with clients over the years and where she has been a Tanglewood resident for more than 26 years.

“I am partial to this very special neighborhood. The lots are large, and the architecture is stunning. It’s convenient to key areas of the city. Shopping and restaurants are abundant, there’s a nice mix of ages and cultures represented, and people genuinely look out for each other,” she said.

Brann’s focus area is exceptional for homeowners as well.

“It’s also an excellent investment. Home values in Tanglewood have been on an upward trend for most of the past 26 years, and now they are even stronger,” said Brann.

Celebrating her 35th year in real estate, Brann, who grew up in Spur, a small West Texas town, moved to Houston with her late husband after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1963. She chose real estate as she enjoys what she does.

“There is something special about helping people find their perfect home or representing a seller as they move toward a new life adventure,” Brann said. “I’ve made deep connections with clients and had the privilege of representing some multiple times through all stages of life. Most of my business derives from repeat clients and referrals. That is deeply satisfying.”

Brann’s former work experience was in education, teaching both elementary school and junior high economics, which led her to expand on her organizational and motivational skills. In addition, she credits her leadership skills to years of volunteer service and leading boards in some of Houston’s nonprofit organizations, adding to her skill set.

One of her most recent recognitions was as one of Douglas Elliman Top 20 Agents Texas 2021.

“I have a strong reputation as a broker with a proven record and strong integrity,” said Brann. “I have years of experience and a deep knowledge base of this market, but I also genuinely care about my clients. They put their trust in me, and my primary job is to educate and empower them so they can make the best possible decisions for their needs. I am a hands-on broker, and I am there for my clients every step of the way.”
