1956-2021

-

Michelle Anne Bernhagen, 65, of Houston, Texas, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 11, 2021.

Michelle or ’Micki’ as she was commonly known, was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Kenneth and Helene Bernhagen on June 8, 1956. She moved to Houston in 1963 and lived her remaining life in Austin and Houston, Texas. Micki enjoyed life with her family and friends with her car dealership and associates being a large part of her life. From her early days, Micki was always in the automobile dealership industry. Forgoing college, she worked her way up from an office clerk to a successful dealership owner. All along the way, making friends in the industry while keeping in touch with the old friends and family. Her career was her love in life, she enjoyed it and always remained actively involved in the car industry – keeping up with the latest developments, features and styles, but her main focus was on the people that worked with her. Of course many of us bought cars through her over the years.

Micki enjoyed traveling from the United Kingdom to Hawaii with many trips through the US mainland. Like her mother, Micki enjoyed -venturing into craft, Christmas or other novelty stores from coast to coast picking up interesting nicknacks which usually ended up as Christmas presents. She was also gifted in the crafts world, taking some of the ideas seen in these shops and making her own versions for personal and gift use. She was active until her too early passing.

A special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Memorial Hermann Medical Center for their care and attention to Micki. Also a Special thank you to her home care aid ‘Doris’.

Micki is survived by her siblings, Patrick & wife Paulette, Thomas (Timothy) & wife Lynn and Terrence; Nieces and nephews, Troy & wife Jennifer Hessels, Brooke Bernhagen, Michael Bernhagen, Eric & wife Lindsey Bernhagen and Kendra Bernhagen; Great nieces and nephews, Trevor Hessels, Tyler Hessels, Blakely Bernhagen, Brody Bernhagen and Briley Bernhagen; along with numerous cousins.
