Miss Fabiola Urdaneta Weds Mr. Robert Clarke Baldwin
Miss Fabiola Urdaneta and Mr. Robert Clarke Baldwin were united in marriage on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 7 o’clock in the evening in a beautiful oceanside service at The Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. Rev. Dr. Robert Henley officiated the ceremony. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner reception at Carysfort Hall. Entertainment at the reception was provided by Rock with U and highlighted by a midnight surprise Hora Loca performance from Black and Wine Events. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Palm Court.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Luis Urdaneta who resides in Houston, Texas and Mrs. Conchita Bellorin who resides in Coral Gables, Florida, with her husband and the bride’s stepfather, Mr. Hector Fortun. The groom is the son of Drs. Bonnie and Robert Baldwin of Houston, Texas.
Miss Urdaneta was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a timeless estee gown by Lazaro with ivory petal embroidery, strapless sweetheart neckline, waterfall skirt over layered tulle, and a chapel train. The bride carried a bouquet composed of a textured mix of white and ivory garden roses and ranunculus. The outdoor sunset service overlooked the ocean at The Point. The dramatic setting was heightened by thunder, lightning, and, fortunately, no rain throughout the ceremony.
Serving as maid of honor was the bride’s close friend, Elizabeth Miller of New York City. The best man was the groom’s brother, Ryan Mitchell Baldwin, of Houston, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of Carrollton School of The Sacred Heart in Coconut Grove, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Columbia University and her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in New York City. She works as an associate at the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York City.
The groom is a graduate of the Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Philosophy from Columbia University in New York City and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He works as an associate for LS Power in New York City.
The couple first met during their undergraduate philosophy studies at
Columbia University. Following their honeymoon in Saint Lucia, they will reside in New York City.
