Pecan Harvest Festival adds Little Miss Pecan contest

The City of Richmond and Historic Richmond Associatio­n will hold the 2021 Pecan Harvest Festival in Historic Downtown Richmond on Sunday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

This annual event highlights the rich history of pecans in Fort Bend County while showcasing the unique features of Historic Downtown Richmond.

The festival’s Kidz Zone will be on the historic Decker Park, while live music entertains all day from Wessendorf­f Park’s Gazebo. Attendees can stroll the trails around the historic Morton Cemetery, or hop on an old-fashioned hayride around the Historic District of Richmond.

The festival features artisan vendors, a farmer’s market, a beer and wine garden, a pecan baking contest, Little Miss Pecan Princess contest, and a classic car show.
