County offers $100 to get vaccinated
Harris County began offering $100 Visa gift cards at county-run vaccination sites last week to boost the COVID-19 inoculation rate, which had stalled out at about 57 percent.
During the three weeks prior to the incentive program, the health department had administered an average of 431 first doses a day. On Tuesday, the first day of the program, 914 first doses were administered.
