MIKEL ANDREW VALDEZ

1959-2021

Mikel Andrew Valdez, 61, passed away on Aug. 17, 2021 in Angleton, TX. He was born on Nov 20, 1959 in Wharton, TX to Mike and Susie Valdez. Mikel is survived by: his wife, Deborah Valdez; daughters, Michelle Valdez and Susan Gonzales (Michael); sister, Monica Burch; brothers, Vincent Valdez (Cindy), Joe Valdez (Sonia) and Jesse Valdez (Veronica); grandchild, Stella Marie Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, Joseph Andrew Gonzales.

Mikel was a devoted employee of 42 years as a Process Technician for SI Group of Freeport, Texas. He was a true believer in “work hard, play hard.” He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gambling, and motorcycle rides but most of all spending time with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a rosary at 7:00pm, at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598, (281)280-9000. The funeral service will be on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 3131 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, Texas 77059. Burial and reception will follow.
