NRA cancels Houston conference
The National Rifle Association announced it has canceled its annual meeting planned for Houston next weekend because of rising COVID-19 cases in Houston. The meeting was scheduled to be at the George R. Brown Convention Center from Sept. 3 to Sept 5 to mark the group’s 150th year. It’s another blow to Houston’s convention business that is seeing cancellations climb, including Amazon Web Services and the Texas Realtors Conference.
