1932-2021

Eva Louise Myers, 89 of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, August 31 in Houston. She was born August 20,

1932 in National City, California to Clausen Leo and Mabel Elizabeth Reed Schisler. Louise was a long-time member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Richmond, Texas.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 am at Calvary Episcopal Church, 806 Thompson Road, Richmond, TX 77469

We ask those in attendance to practice social distancing, and facial coverings are recommended.

Survivors include 3 children, Margaret Tauzin and husband Jerry, Elizabeth Zanghi and husband Michael, William Myers Jr and wife Deanna, sister, Muriel Babeshoff and husband Andy, 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Prejean, Jerrel Tauzin, Katherine Lansford and husband Jim, Philip Zanghi and wife Katelin, Lauren Martin, 4 great grandchildren, Chandler Prejean, Braeden Prejean, Madeline Lansford and Charlotte Zanghi along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband William.

Louise spread her everpresent smile and cheerful laugh to everyone she met, through her many interests and talents such as church choir, sewing and knitting crafts, genealogy, and she jumped right in as an early adapter of personal computing in the 1980’s.

She was a voracious reader and always keen to learn. In 1972 she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and went on to teach Special Education in the Houston area.

Being a daughter of a career Naval officer, Louise grew up always ready for travel and adventure, and with family, friends and church she visited many parts of the worldGuam, Singapore, England, Scotland, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the Holy Land.

Her deep faith kept her active in the Episcopal church, including the Daughters of the King, Altar Guild, and several volunteer functions for many years.
