Houston opens arms to Ida evacuees
The imminent arrival of powerful Hurricane Ida sent Louisiana residents scrambling for shelter in Texas ahead of a life-threatening storm surge, and many Houston residents and businesses wanted to return the favor after Louisianans helped out after Hurricane Harvey. The city and state have dispatched recovery crews and relief aid to the state.
