JOHN LYNN FISCHER

1941-2021

John L. Fischer passed away peacefully September 4, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

John was born in Norton, Virginia on October 21, 1941. He grew up in Big Stone

Gap, Virginia and attended Wake Forest University where he received his law degree. John had a long and successful legal career with Exxon Corporation where he and his wife, Marion, had the opportunity to live in several cities across the country and make lifelong friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son, John Scott Fischer, and his parents John and Margaret Fischer.

He is survived by his wife, Marion, his son, Robert Evans (Jill) and four grandchildren Christopher, Kylie, Katy and Cassandra (Taylor).

John loved his family and showed it in many ways. He had a dry sense of humor and loved making people laugh.

He loved traveling and spending time with friends. He had a good life and was grateful.

A memorial service will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at

The Woodlands Methodist Church, 2200 Lake Woodlands Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77380 with Bishop Bob Hayes conducting the service.
