Driver who ran stop sign hits 18-wheeler, dies

A man died after he ran a stop sign in his pickup truck and hit an 18-wheeler’s trailer in Channelview early Saturday, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called around 3:20 a.m. to a fatal crash at the intersection of Bayou Drive and the 16600 block of East Freeway service road, authorities said.

The pickup driver , whom officials identified as Miguel Camarillo in a release, died at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
