IRWIN THEODORE (TED) POWERS

1934-2021

Ted was born in the Bronx, New York and had a 40-year career in finance at Shell, ultimately being relocated to Houston in 1970. His second 25-year career was as a food writer; he was also a docent at the Houston Zoo for 15 years and played tennis for more than 40.

Ted was predeceased by the love of his life Myrna and is survived by children Marcy (Rabbi Stuart Federow),

Steve (Jackie), Bonnie (Jeffrey Levin), and Amy (Dr. Jason Powers); grandchildren Jared Powers (Kaytlyn), Chelsea Loose-Mitchell (Will), Tyler Powers, Zachary Powers, Sarah Powers, Danyel Powers and Mia Powers; and three great grandchildren.
