Car’s occupants are sought after pedestrian killed

A man was struck by a vehicle and killed in Houston on Friday night, according to Houston police.

A blue Nissan Sentra struck a man when he was crossing the street in the 6900 block of Bellfort, police said. A man and a woman in the vehicle drove about a mile and then left the car.

Residents in the area found the abandoned car and called police. At the time of a media briefing, police said the man and woman were at large.

Police said there were several witnesses and people who tried to help the man who was struck.
