Realtor Marc Allen Ziegler with Douglas Elliman has the experience to back his knowledge of Houston for whatever clients are looking to achieve.
With 38 years of experience in the industry, Ziegler began his career in West University and has extended his coverage throughout the city and Inner Loop. His area ranges from the Villages of Memorial to Afton Oaks, River Oaks, Upper
Kirby, and as close as Sugar Land and Pearland.
The area is excellent for its diverse offerings.
“I love what inner-city living provides,” Ziegler said. “I think some of our trade schools like DeBakey, Carnegies, and HSPVA are some of the finest.”
Ziegler said as far as buying a home, these are currently some of the best interest rates he’s seen since the beginning of his real estate career.
“I was selling real estate in Houston when it was in the double-digit numbers. With an average appreciating on Houston 3.5-4 % yearly, you can borrow money at a lower rate than appreciation. Yes, it is a great time to buy,” he said.
Originally from upstate New York, Ziegler has been a Houston resident for 43 years and lived in his focus area since 1980.
He chose to work in real estate after his mother came to Houston, Ziegler said.
“The agent at the time was not looking out for property in our best interest and so, after many years of working on my father’s restaurant and hotel business, I decided to put my service background to work for me,” said Ziegler.
His previous work experience led Ziegler to have a unique perspective when working with clients.
“What I gained from this industry is an understanding of people,” Ziegler said. “I also learned how to anticipate and accommodate buyers’ and sellers’ needs. People like other people who are honest and have their best interest at heart. This is vital to what I am now doing.”
Ziegler’s talents as a Realtor have earned him multiple awards.
“I have received an award from the company that I am with year over year for production,” he said.
His key personal traits with working with clients include practical experience, listening, proficiency, accuracy, willingness to share, follow-through, timeliness and anticipation of needs.
Ziegler is also a broker, real estate negotiation expert and is skilled in relocation.
