Veteran Realtor specializes in Inner Loop neighborhoods

- By Valerie Sweeten FREELANCE WRITER

Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty Realtor Eileen Hartman, a veteran of 43 years in the industry, takes great pride in assisting clients throughout the greater Houston area.

As a fifth generation Houstonian where her great-great grandparents settled in Harris County, Hartman is a lifetime resident of the near northwest area and currently residing in the Heights.

Her focus area includes just inside and just outside Loop 610 north ranging from the Heights, Oak Forest, Timbergrove, Lazybrook, Shepherd Park Plaza, Candlelight Estates and Plaza.

Hartman’s focus area is like living in a small town with many pluses to enjoy, she said.

“Being a lifelong resident of this area and attending Waltrip High School, as my sons did, our family has a tremendous presence here. I love going into the restaurants, store, or holding an open house and connecting with people I have known living here,” said Hartman.

Now could be an excellent time to consider getting a new home.

“Our area has never seen prices go anywhere but up. We escaped the foreclosure era and the 18 percent interest era. It is wonderful to see third-generation residents reigniting the love we have for this small ‘city’ within Houston. So many families are making this area their home. Neighbors still look out for and help each other,” she said.

Hartman’s real estate career began when she married into the business in 1978. She was trained by local real estate icons she said such as LeeAnn Hudson, Fauncine Martin, Bill Hartman, Wilda Campbell, and Colleen Sherlock, and is thankful for her role models through the years.

In the ‘90s, Hartman left the family business briefly and embarked on a career in banking. She then moved onto a boutique real estate firm as an office administrator, which evolved into an assistant role and later a top producer in Memorial and River Oaks.

This began her career to become a full-time Realtor.

Currently, Hartman continues to thrive with her clients by staying up to date on technology and statistics with available educational opportunities.

“Over my career, I have learned from the best,” Hartman said. “This year has been so rewarding. I’ve learned about client relationships and realized the trust a client has with hiring me with probably their largest asset. Each deal is a huge deal to me, and I owe them a debt of gratitude. My past clients aren’t past clients, but new friends. I love that about this year.”

Hartman’s achievements have been recognized being part of the Circle of Excellence with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty. She also represents estates, trusts, and guardianships.
