HAROLYN BRUNDRETT

1935-2021

-

Harolyn Brundrett passed away on New Year’s Eve,

2021. Having been born in Brenham, Texas, and living on a farm, she grew up in Baytown, Texas, where she attended Robert E. Lee High School, where she was an excellent student and a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a proud drummer in the Robert E. Lee Brigadiers, an all-girls drum and bugle corps. After graduation, she married Tommy Brundrett, who predeceased her in 2019. She was a loving mother of 3 sons: Trey (who passed away at a young age), Cliff, and Tim. The family’s long-time residence was on the west side of Houston, Texas, in the Spring Branch School District. Although she was not an athlete growing up, sports dominated the family’s household. She took up golf, becoming a regular player at Pine Forest Country Club, where she and Tommy met many wonderful and lifelong friends. Tommy and Harolyn spent much of their time either supporting the boys at athletic events, attending Rice and Oiler football games, or participating at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where they were part of the Western Fine Art’s committee. They had fond memories of growing up in Baytown’s small-town atmosphere and kept in close contact with classmates at reunions and other gatherings. Tommy and Harolyn had a wonderful life together and met many great friends along the way, some of whom would meet at Luling City Market in the Galleria area, where they had many good times. Both were proud, model citizens of Houston and the absolute greatest parents, who always knew how to have fun and live life to the fullest.

Services will be a private family ceremony.
