Frances Sue Giles passed away January 7, 2022 in Houston, Texas, her home for nearly 60 years. Sue was born Frances Sue Brogan on February 27, 1928 in Moberly, Missouri to Roy E. and Gertrude Brogan. On November 20, 1948, she married Charles “Punky” William Giles, also of Moberly, and he preceded her in death in 1988. From their wedding day on, Sue never removed her wedding ring.

Sue is survived by her children, Kevin Giles and his wife, Rose Ann, Janna Gremillion and her husband, Chuck, and Laura Edrington and her husband, Jerry; her grandchildren, Will Giles, Alistair Giles, Charlie Gremillion, Emily Rode, Courtney Voltin, Francie Groll, Meredith Smith, Victoria Young, Bradley Edrington, and their spouses. She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren, Madeline, Chase, Connor, Cody, Elizabeth, Elliott, Emmitt, Kathryn, Miles, and James; her niece, Sheryl Kiefer, who was like a daughter to her, and her three nephews, Steve, Scott, and Buddy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gertrude

Nau, and brother, Harry Brogan.

Sue’s pride and joy was her role as a homemaker, with dinner on the table daily at 5:30 p.m. sharp. She loved her family, friends, dogs (especially Ajax, Asta, Bandit, and Willa), and puzzles. After 34 years apart, we know she is happy to reunite with her beloved Punky.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas.
