B.J. Gotte, Paetow

Gotte started the Paetow football program four short years ago, and now the Panthers are state champions. The former Katy assistant and his staff helped their players navigate a challenging District 10-5A Division I schedule before tearing through five playoff opponents. Paetow passed its toughest test of the season in the state title game, topping a previously unbeaten College Station team 27-24 in overtime. The Panthers finished with a 15-1 overall record.
