Home Aid works with two local builders on charity project
Angel Reach, a Conroe-area non-profit that serves homeless youth who have aged out of foster care or were released early from the program, is receiving a much-needed addition in housing for their campus. HomeAid has facilitated new construction by partnering with two local builders who are helping to build three duplexes, the first phase of a planned nine-duplex project consisting of 18 units.
HomeAid is working with builder captains Eric Maksym with Starter Homes of Texas, and John Wynn with Vanguard Builders who will provide the construction. These duplexes will house four youth working in the Angel Reach program, providing a safe, nurturing environment that will also enhance the continuing education path the youth are on to acquire GED/high school diplomas, higher education and or life skills training.
“This commitment by Starter Homes of Texas and Vanguard Builders is life-changing for these kids in the Angel Reach program,” said Nicole Keown, president of HomeAid. “Their generosity will help keep kids at risk off the street and on the road to a brighter future. We can’t thank them enough for their commitment to such a huge undertaking.”
Starter Homes of Texas LLC has been serving the Montgomery County community for over 10 years.
Vanguard Builders provides turnkey single family and multi-unit properties to investors seeking above-average cash flow.
The official launch of this construction project was held on Oct. 1 with a ceremonial groundbreaking at the site.
