Explore variety of electric vehicles with Evolve Houston
Last year was an extraordinary one for the advancement of electric vehicles. Major brands like GM, Volkswagen and Ford, among others, announced major commitments to producing electric vehicles, transforming the future of transportation.
To get familiar with this new option in clean mobility, Houstonians will have the opportunity to test an electric car, explore a variety of electric vehicles, and learn what is currently available and how to go electric during the 2022 Houston Auto Show. All of it is possible thanks to Evolve Houston, the nonprofit organization with a vision to make clean transportation and clear air a reality for all the people in the Houston area. Evolve focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions through transportation electrification.
This year, Evolve Houston will unveil a new logo on Jan. 26 along with the opening day of the Houston Auto Show. In addition to the EV showroom, Evolve is adding an all-electric ride and drive.
“The most common thing Houstonians are surprised about when starting an electric vehicle is how quiet it is,” said Katheryn Abou-Chakra, program manager, Evolve Houston. “The next thing is how fast it is. If you’ve never test-driven an electric vehicle before, this is your chance to get behind the wheel of an exciting, advanced, and more importantly, fun car.”
