Dorothy Ann Jennett Smelley died Monday April

11. She was a Wife, Mother, Grand-Mother, and GreatGrand­mother. She was born in San Antonio Texas to John C Jennett and Effie Ann Redden Jennett on October 24, 1937. She is preceded by her father J.C. Jennett, Mother Ann Jennett, and Brother Thad C. Jennett. She is survived by husband David Smelley, son’s John Steven Smelley, James Leonard Smelley and wife Janice. Granddaugh­ter Amy Hartner and husband Kent Harter Great Grandchild­ren Gavin Hartner, Victoria and Abigail Smelley, and Grandson Thad Smelley and Aaron Smelley

She was married to David for 65 years. She was partner, soul mates, best friend, and love of My Life. She was active in the Memorial Church of Christ young at heart group. Past president of the West University little League

Ladies auxiliary, a valuable member of Coastal Medical Supply Co. Management Team. She was a god loving member of Memorial Church of Christ.

She is a graduate from Lamar High School, Pershing Jr. High, and Longview Elementary. She attended The University of Houston was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, she was friends of so many and loved by all that knew her. It is a devastatin­g loss for her family but with trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. We will all meet again Honorary pall bearers: Larry Besong, Russell Bird, Kent Hartner, Doug Johnson, James L.
