Susan was selfless, loving and wholeheartedly devoted to God and a faithful Catholic. Her faith in God was truly inspiring to everyone who knew her.

Susan was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Paschal High School and went on to the University of Texas where she joined Alpha Delta Pi and earned her Journalism degree. She later returned to earn her MBA at the University of Texas and became a CPA. Susan started her career at Arthur Anderson prior to starting her own CPA firm.

Susan married the love of her life, Barnes Arbuckle, on August 29, 1987. Their daughter Lesley was born in 1990 and their son Stephen was born in 1993. Susan and Barnes were active in their children’s lives and loved spending family time together. They travelled to many fun places and spent many long weekends on Lake Travis.

After Barnes passed away suddenly in 2011, Susan did everything she could to make sure Lesley and Stephen felt loved and protected. Her family meant everything to her and brought her the most joy. She successfully fought one health challenge after another and still put her family first and pushed through to have more time with her children. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with Lesley, Stephen, and Tripp.
