Why did you decide on a career in real estate and what are some things you enjoy about it? I moved back to Houston in 2020 after living in Los Angeles for 20 years. I knew I wanted to get into the real estate business and work at Greenwood King Properties with my mother and my sister. My mother has been a top producer since 1989 and my sister has been a top producer since 2003. My father is the founder and owner of a building company and has built over 100 homes in West University and surrounding neighborhoods. My father was in a serious car accident almost 30 years ago that left him paralyzed. He continued building homes and I recently worked with agents reselling a home he built. It was amazing hearing my father called “one of the most sought-after residential builders.” The buyer said she knew who the company was and she can’t believe she gets to live in one of his houses. My father inspires me every day.
How would you describe your work ethic and skills that bring you success?
When working with clients I am totally focused on their needs. I do my homework, pay great attention to detail and realize the goal is to find my buyers their perfect home and get top dollar for my sellers.
What are some key ways you help your clients in the buying/selling process? I love getting to know my clients. I really listen and try to understand my clients’ needs and goals whether buying or selling a home. It is my job to make sure I represent my clients’ interests and I make sure my clients know I am available by proactively communicating. I want my clients to know they can trust that I am working for them.
What are your focus areas? Inside the loop — I grew up in West University and I live there now — as well as Memorial, Tanglewood, Briargrove, Heights
and Willowbridge.
How is the marketplace now and is it a good time to buy?
Yes, it is a good time to buy right now. The market is still very active with multiple offers on many homes.
What’s your professional
background and your certifications?
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in risk management and insurance. I was a pharmaceutical sales specialist in Los Angeles for 10 years. During college I spent a few summers and Christmas breaks working at Greenwood King Properties.
How does your company support your sales process? Greenwood King is very supportive to agents with great staff, management, and hands-on owners. Agent classes are offered weekly, and the marketing team is amazing.
