HistoryMaker builds Benefit home in Sunterra
HistoryMaker
Homes recently broke ground on its Hemlock plan in the Land Tejas community of Sunterra. This home is being built for the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project, a 42-year-old charity fundraiser that benefits HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.
Each year two homes are built for the Benefit Homes Project with donated materials and services from GHBA member companies. The homes are sold at market value and the majority of the proceeds benefit the two charities.
Sunterra is a 1,039acre master planned community in the Katy Independent School District and convenient to Katy area dining and shopping. There is also access to Grand Parkway and I-10 west. Amenities will include a 3.5-acre Crystal Lagoon for kayaking, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, or just relaxing on the white sandy beach.
There will also be an expansive amenity village that will feature a clubhouse and pool that overlook the lagoon.
HistoryMaker’s Hemlock plan is a 2,777 sq. ft., two-story design with three bedrooms and 2½ baths. The home offers a media room and game room on the second floor, a downstairs master suite with spacious walk-in closet, a dual vanity and a separate tub and shower. The floor plan is an open concept for easy entertaining and gatherings, and the tall ceilings and box windows add to the spacious feeling.
The home also includes a covered patio and large garage.
“We recently started construction of our Hemlock plan in Sunterra,” said HistoryMaker Houston division president Mickey Pizzitola. “This Benefit home, located in the Sunterra community, offers so many amenities at a tremendous value to the home buyer. We anticipate this home will sell quickly.”
Family owned and operated since 1949, HistoryMaker Homes launched in Dallas-Fort Worth and expanded over the decades to become a premier builder of more than 800 homes across the region in 16 developments.
