CHASE ARNOLD SCHWARTZ

April 19, 1979 - June 28, 2022

-

Chase Arnold Schwartz passed away unexpectedly in his sleep, in the early morning of Tuesday, the 28th of June 2022, at his home in Houston, Texas. He was 43 years of age.

Chase was raised in Houston where he attended Episcopal High School and the University of Texas before graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a focus on Creative Writing. After graduation, Chase spent his career working primarily for large public companies in the oil and gas industry, most recently as a Supervisor at Energy Transfer. Wherever he worked, Chase found respect and appreciation for his compassionate nature, quick wit, and noble character.

Chase enjoyed a full and active life. Despite battling various illnesses, he handled his challenges with optimism, determination, and a quiet grace. Growing up Chase enjoyed many wonderful fishing trips with his father, and was a lifelong fan of UT Football. With an encyclopedic knowledge of facts and statistics, he could participate in any sports-related conversation at a professional level. And, with Chase, watching a University of Texas football game was an experience like no other!

Beyond his great affinity for UT Football, Chase had many interests: his dogs, poetry and writing, movies, and music of any type. But what Chase treasured above all else, was his relationship with his two wonderful daughters, Caroline and Emerson. Chase is survived by his daughters, Caroline and Emerson Schwartz; his parents, Terri and Joseph “Pepe” Schwartz; his sister, Elizabeth Schwartz Morgan; his nephews, Loran and Lane Morgan; his grandmother, Annet Pearson; and his extended family of many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom he cherished so dearly.

A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 7th of July, in the Sanctuary of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston, where

The Rev. Martin J. Bastian, Vice-Rector, and The Rev. Wesley Arning, Associate for Youth Adult and Small Group Ministry are to officiate.

Prior to the service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.

A devoted father, a loving son, an adoring brother, and a great and kind friend to many, Chase was a truly selfless and extraordinary person.
