Sharon Brewer Staehli passed away on May 23, 2022. Sharon lived a very full life. She was born on November 23, 1939, in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Houston where she attended Spring Branch High School. Sharon went on to get her teaching degree from the University of Houston and she returned to Spring Branch High School as an English teacher. She finished her teaching career at Katy High School where she retired in May 2002. One of her greatest accomplish­ments was receiving her Master’s Degree in English from Texas A&M University. She was also very proud to be awarded the National Endowment of Humanities Fellowship for a seminar at A&M.

Shortly after college she married Frank Brewer, the father of Lisa and Courtney, and they were married for over 25 years.

Sharon met Ralph Staehli on a Caribbean cruise shortly after her retirement. They married and settled in Ralph’s hometown of Vashon, Washington. They were happily married for 11 years. Both Sharon and Ralph had a passion for travel. When Ralph passed away in December of 2014, Sharon moved back Sharon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Tom Trammell; her daughter and son-in-law Courtney and Bryant Smith; her two granddaugh­ters Jordan and McKenna Trammell; and her nephew and his wife George and Reanne Barber as well as their daughters Allison and Claire Barber.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Waltrip Funeral Directors located in Spring Branch at 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas 77055. A reception will follow the service.
