Taylor Morrison donates site for GHBA Benefit home

-

Taylor Morrison has donated the construction of a Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project home as well as the homesite, located in their community of Grand Vista in Richmond.

This is the second home and lot donated by Taylor Morrison for the GHBA’s annual charity fundraiser. The project is a 42-year-old charity that has raised more than $12 millions.

Each year, two homes are built for the project with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA member organizations. The homes are built with upgrades and amenities not often found in homes with similar pricing. The homes are sold at market value and the majority of the proceeds go to Operation Finally Home and HomeAid Houston.

Taylor Morrison is building their Dahlia plan on the homesite.

“It is an honor to have Taylor Morrison back again as a GHBA Benefit Homes builder and developer,” said Jennifer Keller, president of GHBA. “They also built a Benefit home in Grand Vista in 2018. The funds raised from that sale were also presented to both charities, ensuring they continue their mission to change the lives wounded veterans and their families returning from active duty and at-risk individuals and families facing homelessness.”

Located in the city of Richmond, Grand Vista is ideal for today’s homebuyers seeking all the advantages of contemporary suburban living approximately 30 miles from downtown. Grand Vista is 600-plus acres with abundant amenities, including two community clubhouses and pools, playgrounds, an on-site elementary school and lakeside walking trails. The community offers one- and two-story floor plans priced from the $400,000s to $600,000s-plus.

The Dahlia is a 1,532 sq. ft., onestory home with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage. An extended formal foyer flows into an open-concept gathering room and kitchen. There is also a formal dining room.

The owner’s suite is at the back of the home, offering a beautiful retreat with its wall of windows.
