HomeAid, Toll Brothers deliver playhouse to Minute Maid Park
Toll Brothers’ Imagination Station, a HomeAid Houston Project Playhouse, was delivered at Minute Maid Park in Section 134 on June 30 to be on display through Aug. 3 during the Astros games. This is HomeAid Houston’s 16th annual Project Playhouse that was designed and built by Toll Brothers. Its whimsical features inspired the name, Imagination Station.
This popular fundraiser has raised more than $1 million for future HomeAid construction projects and is a long-time partnership with the Houston Astros and the Astros Foundation.
Imagination Station’s amenities include a thunderstorm-themed ceiling with LED color changing lights, a galaxy-themed tunnel, a hidden door, a floating desk, a chalk wall, a lounge with reading space on the third level, a hot air balloon with budgie basket and pully system, built-in bookshelves, a rubber gym floor, air conditioning and many others. It is a modular design to simplify its transportation and reconstruction in a backyard.
Dozens of sponsors were key players in the success of Project Playhouse, as it raises valuable funds for HomeAid’s mission, to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education. Hall of Fame Sponsors are IES Residential and Westin Homes. Grand Slam Sponsors are New Home Star, Rock Materials, Sangalang Development Services and The Howard Hughes Corporation. Home Run Sponsors are Benedettini Cabinetry, Builders Post-Tension, Caymex Incorporated, Ellen Lighting + Hardware, First American Title Homebuilder Services, META Planning + Design, Sienna by Johnson Development and Tri-Tech Engineering, Surveying & Planning.
