Rose V. Sapien 1934-2022

Rose V. Sapien died peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022, surrounded by her family. Rose was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Urbano and Maria Vallejo, her sister, Erlinda Howland and her brother Ramiro Vallejo. Rose was born in Seguin, Texas on June 7,

1934. She graduated from Nazareth Academy. On June 6, 1964, Rose married Hugo C. Sapien, and together they built a life of love and faith, welcoming three cherished children and making many happy memories at home and on family vacations.

In 1965, Hugo founded HUSA Accurate Machine Works, Inc. with Rose by his side. Rose maintained the books while raising their three children. Throughout the years, Rose worked alongside Hugo growing HUSA and buying investment properties throughout the Houston area. She was his faithful companion and biggest supporter. Her biggest joy was her three children and later in life her six grandchild­ren. She was happiest when she was spending her days at her beach house surrounded by family.

Rose is survived by her husband of 58 years, Hugo Sapien, their children Fidel Sapien and daughter-in-law Tracy, Marco Sapien and daughter-in-law Dunia, and

Sabrina Elias and son-in-law Todd. She is also survived by her six grandchild­ren: Samuel and Meta Sapien, Nicholas and Alec Sapien, and Andrew and Alyssa Elias. Her four siblings and their spouses: Alicia Jones, Edward Vallejo (Theodora), Amelia Buenrostro (John), Hortencia Valdez (Ray), sister-in-law Cecilia Vallejo, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to Dr. Jeffery Lee and Belmont Village for the loving care they provided for Rose the last five years. The family would also like to thank Crossroads Hospice and its excellent staff.

The Rosary Service will be at six o’clock in the evening on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Tx, with a reception following. The funeral mass will be at ten thirty in the morning on Friday, July 22, 2022 with the burial following.
