Mariners win 13th in row, top Rangers

ARLINGTON — J.P. Crawford hit an RBI single in the 10th inning and the Seattle Mariners stretched their winning streak to 13 games, beating the Texas Rangers 3-2 on Saturday.

Carlos Santana homered as the Mariners (50-42) moved closer to the club-record 15-game winning streak set in their last playoff season in 2001. They have won 21 of their last 24 games overall to take eight series in a row, their most since 2021.

Cardinals 11, Reds 3: Paul Goldschmid­t hit his 300th career homer and drove in three runs, Albert Pujols scored his 1,889th run to tie Lou Gehrig for 12th place all-time as host St. Louis rolled.

Yankees 14, Red Sox 1: Aaron Judge homered twice to match Roger Maris’ franchise record of 33 before the All-Star break in host New York’s rout.

Rockies 2, Pirates 0: Kris Bryant had three hits and an RBI, and Jose Urena pitched six scoreless innings for host Colorado.

Mets sweep Cubs: Pete Alonso hit a sacrifice fly in the 11th inning after Adam Ottavino worked out of a tricky jam, helping visiting New York win the opener of a day-night doublehead­er. In the nightcap, Max Scherzer struck out 11 and New York scored twice in the top of the 10th inning.

Twins 6, White Sox 3: Jorge Polanco hit a threerun homer, one of three home runs for host Minnesota, in a five-run third inning.

Blue Jays 6, Royals 5 (10): Teoscar Hernandez singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning for host Toronto.

Guardians 10, Tigers 0: Jose Ramirez tuned up for the All-Star Home Run Derby by homering in his first two at-bats and driving in five runs to power host Cleveland.

Orioles 6, Rays 4 (11): Ryan Mountcastl­e hit a two-run single in the 11th inning for visiting Baltimore.

Phillies 10, Marlins 0: Kyle Schwarber hit his NL-leading 29th homer, J.T. Realmuto had a homer and a double and visiting Philadelph­ia spoiled the major league debut of touted Miami pitcher Max Meyer, the third overall pick in the 2020 draft.

Braves 6, Nationals 3: Matt Olson and freshly minted All-Star Austin Riley hit consecutiv­e home runs in the third inning as visiting Atlanta handed Washington its ninth straight loss.

Giants 2, Brewers 1: Milwaukee reliever Jandel Gustave was called for a balk that let Wilmer Flores score the go-ahead run for host San Francisco.

Padres 4, Diamondbac­ks 3: San Diego scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to help Sean Manaea earn the victory.

Dodgers 7, Angels 1: Max Muncy’s three-run homer sparked a five-run third for the Dodgers.
