HomeAid Houston, Chesmar Homes, Abigail's Place and Attack Poverty broke ground Tuesday, July 26 on two 1,000 sq. ft. duplexes that will provide transitional living for mothers and their children in crisis situations. Abigail's Place is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization serving displaced single mothers and their families in Fort Bend County by providing emergency housing support. The agency sold land to Abigail's Place for the new construction and will assist in providing resources for the new families.
