4 killed in golf-cart wreck
Four people riding in a golf cart died after an alleged drunken driver plowed through a stop sign late last Saturday, a “horrendous” incident that Galveston leaders say promtped them to revisit safety protocol for the popular tourist transportation mode. Officials said changes are coming to city rules, including a reiteration of state laws that prohibit their use on public roads at night.
