Barbara Ann Snook of Houston, Texas died peacefully at her home on August 11, 2022. Ann was born January 19, 1929 to Katherine McBride Roddy and Charles Clay Roddy in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ann attended High School in Laredo and graduated from Seton School of Nursing in Austin, Texas. She went on to have a long and varied career in nursing including as a hospital educator and a school nurse. She touched many lives through nursing, her church, volunteer activities including Charity Guild of Catholic Women. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert Louis Snook. She is survived by their 6 children; Mary Katherine Allrich, Marilyn Snook, Robert Louis Snook Jr. and his companion Ami Gault, Gordon Thomas Snook, his wife Lynn, Ann Elizabeth Sims, her husband Howard, Dennis Joseph Snook and his wife, Robin. Ann will be dearly missed by her grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was an important part of the fabric that brought the many extended families together. The family wishes to thank all the nurses, caregivers, and staff of Bayou Vista and Hospice who gently and lovingly cared for Ann during her last years. Family visitation will be held in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors on Wednesday, August 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on August 25, 10:30am at St John Vianney Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributi­ons may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Realitos, PO Drawer W, Benavides, TX, 78341
