Boil water notice put in place after pressure problem
Jersey Village spent Saturday under a boil water notice because of “reduced distribution system pressure.”
The notice went into effect at 8:15 p.m. Friday, and city officials are urging residents — especially children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems — to use water that is boiled and then cooled before drinking, cooking or brushing their teeth.
Boiling water destroys bacteria and other microbes that are harmful for humans to consume.
