FREDERICK GOVREAU

Frederick Harrison Govreau (B. February 24, 1930 in Bisbee, Arizona) peacefully passed away August 16, 2022. Fred attended Fullerton High School in California, and received an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. Fred joined Union Oil Corporation of California (later Unocal) for his entire career, retiring in 1985. Fred was preceded in death by his parents William Roy and Hazel Downard Govreau, his brother William and son, Bradley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years Donaleta Dudney Govreau, sons Steven (Lisa), Thomas (Brettina) and Joseph (Rosemarie), daughter-in-law Carla, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held September 10, 2022, 2pm, Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Ln, Houston. In lieu of flowers, donations to Houston BARC Animal Shelter or Grace Presbyterian Church Houston are appreciated.
