Frederick Henry Stigale III, born August 26, 1934, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, just shy of what would have been his 88th birthday. He died at home with his wife of 27 years, Christine Stigale, by his side.

Fred retired from the Shell Westhollow Reseach Center as a Safety and Fire Protection Supervisor after 30 plus years of service.

A former Fire Chief of the Alief Community Fire Department, he was an instructor for the Texas A&M Industrial Fire Training School and Shell Company Fire Training schools.

His expertise in the field of safety and fire protection was only exceeded by his care for

the well being of employees and the community in which he served.

He was an active member of the National Railway Historical Society, Sons of the Revolution, and several Safety and Fire Prevention organizations. His community involvement, accomplishments, and accolades are too numerous to mention.

An avid traveler, Fred never met a stranger. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Memorial services will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, TX, on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10 AM. It was Fred’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
