No. 9 Westfield trounces Cy Park
Cypress Park has been battle-tested plenty for a young football program.
But the Tigers were no match for No. 9 stateranked Westfield on Friday night.
Quarterback P.J. Hatter threw five touchdowns passes in the first half, and Westfield rolled to a dominant 63-3 victory in a nondistrict matchup at Planet Ford Stadium.
Hatter, a transfer from Klein Oak, went 18-of-21 for 340 yards and six scores altogether.
“All I told the team before the game is we need to be the most disciplined team, the most competitive team,” Westfield coach Matt Meekins said. “They're a disciplined team as well. I was pleased with everything I saw tonight.”
