Taylor Morrison receives materials, services for GHBA Benefit home
Taylor Morrison is nearing completion of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit home in the community of Grand Vista. This home is being built with donated materials and services from GHBA members so that when the home is sold at market value, proceeds from the sale benefit two local charities — HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home will continue to accomplish their mission to serve others through housing and community outreach.
“We could not raise these valuable funds for these charities without the donations of our residential home building industry partners,” said Jennifer Keller, president of GHBA. “From the home’s survey, through to the closing, the Benefit Home builders commit to recruiting donated services, materials and funds to complete these beautiful homes in prime communities.”
Companies who have donated to the Taylor Morrison Benefit home include Air Innovations LLC, Astro Drywall LLC, Builders FirstSource, BMC Texas Sales, Burgess Construction Consultants Inc., C-Los Investment Co., Corey Construction, Creative Landscape Solultions, CTC Concrete, Drymala Trees, Ellen Lighting Inc. and Exterior Inspections. The Benefit Homes Project has raised more than $12 millions throughout its 42-year history.
Taylor Morrison has built several Benefit homes, and this is the second one they’ve built in Grand Vista, a community they also developed.
The community is located in the Richmond area on 600 acres, 30 miles from downtown.
Grand Vista includes 150 acres of parks, open space, and recreational amenities such as two community clubhouses and pools plus playgrounds for the kids, and it has easy access to the Westpark Toll Road and Grand Parkway. Students who reside at Grand Vista attend acclaimed Fort Bend ISD schools. The community offers one- and twostory floor plans priced from the $400,000s to $600,000s-plus.
